“…a small story.” By a performing knitter.

Mark Schuyler is one of the 5 performing knitters of the Vogue Knitting Live! Gala Dinner concert in the Marriott Marquis in New York, next Saturday. He also performed at the MATA premiere of ‘Killing Time’.
He emailed me this touching letter:
“I jumped at the chance to help with this project. I have been an arts administrator for many years…disabled now and unable to work, depressed…but not defeated.
When I learned about this concert two years ago…through MATA at Roulette in Brooklyn…I felt like every nerve ending had been wired…not just my knitting needles.
I volunteered to be a part of this exciting event in the knitting orchestra…and I volunteered to work at Roulette thereafter.
What do you call it?….a life-changing event! I am slowly working again…taking art classes…training for a new life…knitting much more…and I hope to design men’s hand knitwear and sell my patterns to the world.
This small event has helped me so much…to be at VK Live New York performing in front of famous knitters and designers…a wonderful thing. My community of creators and makers. So exciting!” – Mark Schuyler, NYC
