The Landmark Trust commissioned me to write works for choir for a re-opening event of a medieval hall called Llwyn Celyn in Brecon Beacons, Wales, which was produced by Stefhan Caddick and premiered by the Unicorn Singers on October 5, 2018.
Enduring Like A Tree Under The Curious Stars, taken from the poem A Peasant by R.S. Thomas, is the umbrella title for the two works Four Seasons, Countless Years and In The Wings Through The Night.
Llwyn Celyn is one of the finest surviving medieval hall houses in the heart of the Black Mountains in the Brecon Beacons, which is being restored into it’s full glory by the Landmark Trust.
