Sound composed to a train station Main Entrance Hall
‘Acoustic illumination – colour: chestnut‘ (2006) is written for a busy trainstation main entrance hall in Eindhoven, NL. Commissioned by MAD, Eindhoven.
The sonic poetic chestnut colour, a warm low frequency sound, was orally situated on the station hall floor, while the high pitched sounds of roosting crows seem to come from the ceiling. The mid frequency range was left empty to be filled by the sounds of the crowds.
The archived documentation of this piece unfortunately got lost in a flooding.
