a day without airplanes
About a day without airplanes – when there wasn’t any air traffic due to the Eyjafjallajökull eruption in 2010, similar to now, the skies turned phenomenally blue, not a cloud in sight. Here is a recording I made on Strumble Head, Pembrokeshire UK, on my daily walk up and down Garn Fawr, uninterrupted 15 minutes long, until the engine sound of a fishing boat arrived from around the corner.
a Summer’s day out in the woods
a Summer’s day out in the woods, recorded on a work visit to sculptor Anne-Mie Melis in August 2017 in Pontypridd, Wales. Just such lovely delicate bird call textures, like little sonic gold dust sprinkles in the sky.
